This policy is a statement by the California Green Business Network (“CAGBN”) to our Green Business Applicants and Certified Green Businesses (“Business”). CAGBN will not sell, trade or disclose to third parties any personally identifiable information derived from the registration for or use of a CAGBN online service without the consent of Business (except as required by subpoena, search warrant, government, judicial order, or other legal process).

If CAGBN, at its election, includes Business name and any other personally identifiable information in a directory that CAGBN creates from information received as an online service provider, CAGBN will give Business the opportunity to have the information excluded from that directory. Business directories that CAGBN creates may, however, contain similar information obtained from other sources.

CAGBN will not read or disclose to third parties private email communications that are transmitted using CAGBNʼs Services without Business’ permission, except as required to operate the online service, protect the network, or as otherwise authorized or required by law.

 CAGBN Google AdWords Remarketing to advertise CAGBN across the Internet, in particular on the Google Display Network.

AdWords remarketing will display ads to you based on what parts of the CAGBN website you have viewed by placing a cookie on your web browser.

This cookie does not in any way identify you or give access to your computer or mobile device.

The cookie is used to indicate to other websites that  “This person visited a particular page, so show them ads relating to that page.”

Google AdWords Remarketing allows us to tailor our marketing to better suit your needs and only display ads that are relevant to you.

If you do not wish to see ads from CAGBN you can opt out in several ways:
1. Opt out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
2. Opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
